Stainless steel 347 flanges can withstand a wide temperature range. Stainless Steel 347 Flanges are suitable for use in both high and cryogenic temperatures. They’re perfect for applications with a lot of wear and tear. The material is well-known for its exceptional resistance to oxidation and wear. Stainless Steel 347 Flanges are commonly used in large exhaust systems and boilers due to their ability to tolerate harsh conditions and superior mechanical qualities. They are also used for high-temperature and high-pressure service applications. They are used in industries such as offshore oil drilling companies, power generation plants, petrochemicals, gas processing, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper industries, etc.
stainless steel 347H flanges are the higher carbon version of stainless steel 347 flanges. It is used for enhanced creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000°F. Stainless steel 347H grade flanges can be welded using conventional welding methods. However, oxyacetylene welding is not preferred. hot work processes can be performed at 1149 to 1232°C (2100 to 2250°F). In order to obtain maximum hardness, 347H stainless steel needs to be water quenched and annealed. Stainless steel 347H flanges are used in Aircraft exhaust stacks and manifolds, Jet engine parts, Weld equipment, and Chemical processing equipment.
What is Stainless Steel 347H Flange?
Stainless steel 347H flange is a type of flange made from the stainless steel alloy 347H, a high carbon version of the popular 347 stainless steel. This type of flange is commonly utilized in high-temperature applications where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. It has excellent oxidation resistance and is commonly used in furnaces and other high-temperature equipment, also in chemical and petrochemical industries.
What are the applications of Stainless Steel 347H Flanges?
Stainless steel 347H flanges are commonly used in high-temperature applications that require high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, like chemical and petrochemical industries, oil and gas, food, pulp, and paper manufacturing. They are often used in furnaces, heat treatment equipment, and power generation facilities.
What is the process for manufacturing Stainless Steel 347H Flanges?
The manufacturing process for Stainless Steel 347H flanges typically involves forging or casting, followed by machining and finishing processes. Forged flanges are made by heating and shaping a billet of steel into the desired shape, while cast flanges are made by pouring molten steel into a mold. Machining processes, such as drilling and tapping, are then used to finish the flanges. Finally, the flanges may be subjected to heat treatment or other finishing processes, such as sandblasting or polishing.
