Home / Hastelloy Pipe Fittings
We here at Global Steel, Manufacture, Supply, and Stock our Hastelloy Pipe Fittings, in supreme quality. These Pipe Fittings are offered in several dimensions and measurements, in standard and customized forms to our esteemed clients.
Moreover, our company manufactures a wide range of Hastelloy Pipe Fittings, which are suitable for all applications previously requiring the usage of another alloy. Hastelloy fittings come in different grades such as Hastelloy B2, B3, C22, C276, C2000 Pipe Fittings, etc., and are offered at reasonable rates. Hastelloy Fittings can also withstand sulfuric, acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids, and other non-oxidizing media.
Table Of content
In spite of the alloy’s special properties, Hastelloy Pipe Fittings have excellent corrosion resistance as well as strength, and low carbon content permits this alloy to be used as-welded. These Hastelloy Pipe Fittings are heat-treated at 2100 degrees Fahrenheit and then cooled in hydrogen. Hastelloy Pipe Fittings withstand embrittlement at such temperatures for up to several hours, whereas very short exposures at temperatures such as 1290 Degree F can severely embrittlement alloy at temperature, Hastelloy Pipe Fittings withstand such embrittlement with lasting durability.
The Hastelloy Pipe Fittings that we offer are an austenitic Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum, and Tungsten that offers improved SCC values, crevice corrosion resistance, and resistance to pitting. These Pipe Fittings are also available to our clients in customized sizes and shapes. Hastelloy Pipe Fittings have exceptional resistance to knife-line corrosion and heat-affected zone attacks, where ferric or cupric salts might be formed when hydrochloric acid comes into contact with iron or copper.
In the end, once we complete the entire manufacturing, we assure that these Pipe fittings are tested before they are conveyed for packaging. To avoid unwanted damage and destruction on these fittings they are been packed with, bubble wraps or shrinkwraps.
Is Hastelloy pipe more expensive than stainless steel?
Hastelloy pipe fitting is an alloy of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and other metals that offers excellent corrosion resistance and strength at high temperatures. It is more expensive than stainless steel, with prices ranging as per pound depending on the grade of Hastelloy . However, suppose your project requires extreme levels of corrosion resistance or needs to perform in extreme temperatures (above 1500°F). In that case, Hastelloy may be the right choice for you due to its superior properties compared to stainless steel.
Does Hastelloy contain iron?
Along with containing nickel and molybdenum, the different grades of Hastelloy alloys may contain percentages of iron, aluminium, tungsten, carbon, titanium, chromium, and other elements. The most widely used and versatile Hastelloy alloys are the C-types. Formulated in 1952, the Hastelloy X alloy is a more recent superalloy grade than others. It contains higher percentages of iron to improve oxidation resistance, formability, and high-temperature strength. It can also be cold rolled to meet desired temper properties; however, heat treatments cannot harden it.
How Hastelalloy pipe fittings are made?
The Hastelloy pipe suppliers follow multiple methods for pipe fittings and manufacturing processes, especially when it involves Elbow, Reducer, Tee, and more. The fittings are manufactured from seamless pipe, bar, welded pipe, and other filler material. The fittings with large diameters are produced from plates. Each of the fittings has its purpose. The size, shape, material, use, unique and standard properties are the most considered factors when it comes to selecting the best and proper manufacturing process
