Stainless Steel Grade 304 Forged Fittings are the industry standard 18/8 (18% chromium, 8% nickel) austenitic stainless steel. It is a nonmagnetic alloy when annealed, but it turns magnetic when cold works. It is the most often used of all stainless grades. Because of its high ductility, T304 can be easily welded and is recommended for many deep drawn, spun, or shaped components.

Stainless Steel Grade 304L Forged Fittings has a continuous oxidation resistance to a maximum temperature of 1650 Degree F without significant scaling. For intermittent presentation, the maximum temperature is 1500 ° F. Because 304L is a low-carbon variant of 304, Except for applications suggesting stress alleviation, it may typically be used “as-welded” (without annealing) even in harsh corrosive environments.

Stainless Steel 304L Forged Fittings have strong welding properties and may be welded using any conventional strategy. Annealing can be used to reduce tension after intense shaping or spinning welding.

Stainless Steel Grade 304H Forged Fittings have a high carbon content, making them more appropriate for use in applications requiring high temperatures. This grade has the advantage of being an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloy, as well as having a higher carbon content, which results in higher tensile and yield strength.
