How is Grade 5 titanium made?
Grade 5 titanium, commonly known as Ti-6Al-4V, is produced by mining titanium ore, refining it to produce titanium dioxide, using the Kroll process to reduce it to titanium metal, and then combining it with precise ratios of aluminum and vanadium to produce the alloy.
