What is Incoloy 800 Flanges used for?

What material is equivalent to 800HT Flanges?
Incoloy 800HT flanges are made from a modified version of Incoloy 800 alloy which is designed to offer superior high-temperature strength and resistance to creep deformation. In terms of equivalent materials, Incoloy 800HT is very similar to Inconel 718, which is another high-strength nickel-based alloy. However, it is essential to note that these two alloys share some similarities in their composition and properties. However, they are not exact equivalents and may have different performance characteristics in certain applications.
What is the Incoloy 800H Flanges microstructure?
Incoloy 800H flanges have a microstructure that consists of a face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal lattice structure. These alloy primarily comprises nickel and chromium, with small amounts of iron, copper, and other elements. Incoloy 800H is a solid-solution-strengthened alloy that is strengthened by forming intermetallic precipitates. It also has excellent high-temperature strength and good resistance to oxidation, carburization, and nitridation. The microstructure and composition make it well-suited for high-temperature applications where resistance to thermal stress and creep deformation is critical.
